Marnie Stern has set October 7 as the release date of her second Kill Rock Stars record, This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That. According to a press release, the album is more than 12 guitar heroine cuts; it focuses on her songs "rather than the expressions of virtuosity that earmarked her prior work." Oh, and Hella drummer Zach Hill hops behind the drum kit once again. (His solo debut, Astrological Straights, is due out August 26 through Ipecac.)
Speaking of fleet-fingered fret work, Stern is currently offering a personal guitar lesson via eBay. Check out her listing here. Poritions of the proceeds from the final sale will go to MusiCares, a human services organization for struggling musicians.
