Kevin Smith Avoids The "X"
Kevin Smith has won the battle and the war for his forthcoming flick Zack & Miri Make a Porno. The film was flirting with the debilitating NC-17 rating from the MPAA, but the actor/director appealed the ruling and the film's rating has been revised to a much more marketable "R." NC-17 ratings can kill a movie, since no one under under the age of 17 is admitted without the accompaniment of a parent. The film, starring Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks, and former porn starlet Traci Lords, is due out on October 31. The story centers on longtime friends who resort to making an amateur porno to help pay off their debts.
