Jack Black Reunites With His Kung Fu Panda Writers
Jack Black is reteaming with Glenn Berger and Jonathan Aibel, the writers behind the animated hit Kung Fu Panda, for a live-action comedy to be released and distributed by Universal.Black will produce the as-yet untitled film through his Electric Dynamite company with partner Ben Cooley. The film will be a comedic spoof of action spy thrillers such as The Bourne Identity. Black will play an American who washes up on the Cuban shore with a bad case of amnesia and erroneously assumes that he is a superspy.
Speaking of Kung Fu Panda, Black and co-star Angelina Jolie will both reprise their voice roles in the film's 3D sequel, Pandamonium. The film will has already been assigned a release date of June 3, 2011.
