Animal Collective Announce New Album

Animal Collective revealed the tracklisting to their next record earlier today, via their Web page, http://www.myanimalhome.net/. According to an official announcement from the group's publicist, Merriweather Post Pavilion is due out through Domino on January 20. Eleven new songs were tracked in early 2008 at Sweet Tea Recording Studio in Oxford, Mississippi, with the engineering help of Ben Allen.

In other news, Animal Collective has a number of worldwide tour dates on tap between mid-October and November.
